No other country makes it a point to be a detriment to your health in the name of freedom, thus lifestyle creates healthcare costs and lower life expectancy due those freedoms. Also have to look at it from the other side of the coin: none of these other countries are willing or able to spend that much per person? Certainly not any country that has humanitarian concerns.
They don’t have to spend as much and their population is living longer. We’re spending a ton and it’s not buying us extra years. I think we’re paying for lower costs for a few of the other countries, but that doesn’t explain it all. We may also be paying more because people in this country are not taking care of themselves and relying on pills and shots to do the hard work for them.
I’m afraid to go there because I know I’d get sick and start coughing up blood and end up in some terrible hospital. I don’t speak enough Spanish to go through that.

I guess I could be really wealthy and really sick in Mexico… but what a way to go! The Mexican Riviera is my favorite place to be.
